Counselling with Social distancing:

I provide counselling with social distancing in and around Co. Longford.

ONLINE: - we can work by Skype or WhatsApp.

FACE-TO-FACE: I can visit your home, if you have a garden or a big garage, where we can't be overheard by neighbours, and where we can practice social distancing.

I am happy to travel to Counties Longford, Leitrim, Roscommon, Westmeath and Cavan, to bring face-to-face counselling to clients during the current COVID-19 situation.

Some important things for you to think about, before starting online counselling:
- are you comfortable with the technology involved?
- do you have a fast and reliable internet connection?
- do you have a quiet safe place where you can't be overheard or interrupted at home?
- can you find a room or place which is less frequented by you, so that you can leave the counselling session behind, when you walk out of that space?

Remember that you are going to be doing counselling in YOUR home - how are you going to take care of yourself after the session? Normally you would be in my house, and you would need to travel back to your home after your session. During the travel home, you "wind down" from the session.
This will not happen when you do online or social distancing counselling at YOUR home. It is best if you prepare (mentally) some simple ritual for disengaging from counselling. Maybe a cup of tea, or a quick walk, for example. These are just a few suggestions - I am sure you will come up with some ideas of your own!
